Legal Audio Transcription from Your Recordings

The short answer

If you have the recording, we can transcribe it. Attorneys and agencies send us interviews, examinations under oath, arbitrations, recorded statements, and hearing audio they already hold, and we return certified, searchable transcripts through our secure upload process.

Not every recording that matters comes from a courtroom. Investigators record interviews. Insurers take examinations under oath. Arbitrations produce audio with no court clerk attached. Bodycam and interrogation recordings surface in discovery. Any of it can end up needing a transcript that will stand up in a legal proceeding.

That is work for a legal transcription team, not a general-purpose service or an AI tool. Legal audio is full of terms of art, case names, statute citations, and cross-talk, and it lands in front of judges. Every transcript we return is produced by an experienced U.S.-based legal transcriptionist and proofread before delivery.

Recordings we commonly transcribe

Witness interviews and recorded statements. Examinations under oath. Arbitration and mediation sessions where a record was kept. Disciplinary and internal investigation interviews. Jail calls and custodial interviews produced in discovery. Zoom and phone proceedings recorded by counsel. If you are unsure whether your audio is usable, send a sample and we will tell you honestly.

Files upload through our secure system, where you can drag and drop audio along with any case materials that help us get names and terms right. Log notes, case captions, and spelling lists all sharpen the final product.

Certified, even without a courtroom

A transcript's value in litigation comes from its certification: a transcriber's attestation that the record is a true and accurate transcription of the audio. We certify our work, our staff carry AAERT credentials, and our transcripts are formatted so they can be filed, quoted in briefs, and used in examinations without apology.

Volume work is welcome. Firms in document-heavy litigation sometimes arrive with dozens of recorded interviews at once, and we schedule the team so the full set comes back consistently formatted, cross-referenced by speaker, and on one predictable timeline rather than dribbling in file by file.

Helpful things to send with your audio

  • Case caption and case number, if any
  • Names of the speakers, with spellings
  • Technical or industry terms likely to appear
  • Your deadline and preferred turnaround tier
  • Any log notes or summaries you have

FAQ

Questions we hear

What audio formats do you accept?

All common formats. If a court or agency system produced something unusual, send it anyway; we handle court audio systems daily.

Is my upload secure?

Yes. Files move through our secure upload system, and every person who touches them is under a confidentiality agreement.

Can you transcribe poor-quality or multi-speaker audio?

That is our specialty. Experienced ears, proper equipment, and a proofreading pass recover far more than automated tools, and anything genuinely inaudible is marked honestly.

Do you use AI transcription?

Our product is human work by certified professionals. That is what makes it accurate on legal terminology and defensible when the transcript is challenged.
